About the artist.

Lexi Clark recently graduated From Chetek Wayerhouser High School and is currently studying nursing at UWEC with hopes to become a Nurse Anesthetist. Although she is not going to be doing art professionally, she will always enjoy and partake. She has been interested in art since she was a young child doing craft projects with her Grandma. She has participated in many school and community art projects throughout highschool including designing and painting the mural on the local American Legion building. She enjoys doing murals and would like to continue painting more in the future.

Walking on sunshine

Sunrise or sunset?  The vibrant colors that stream out across Lexi’s sky could lead observers to either conclusion.  Completed in 2024, the image gives the observer a view across a lake with a dock and forested shorelines extending on either side. You can imagine yourself sitting on that dock with a line in the water, watching your bobber and waiting for a strike. Whether it is morning or evening is totally up to you.
