We're Painting the Town

The Chetek Public Arts League LLC. (CPAL) is a collaboration between artists and our community dedicated to creating exciting displays of art to enhance our city. It's a volunteer-supported non-profit organization started by a few locals interested in adding beauty to our shores.

As you meander through town, you have undoubtedly noticed our first project on Knapp Street. The beautiful mural created by C.J. Conner is a wonderful example of our mission. The work speaks to our town and community with its wildlife and native habitat and is enjoyed daily by locals and tourists alike.

We believe these murals and other future public arts projects will enhance Chetek's outdoor spaces, reflect the diverse life and culture of our community and extend Chetek's beauty beyond our shores.

CPAL's Focus

The CPAL's initial focus is on commissioning murals. Murals make a visual statement about the community's values, culture and imagination. Since this is true of all art, the CPAL looks forward to supporting other types of outdoor art projects as well. We encourage all community members to engage, not only as viewers, but as participants. The CPAL welcomes ideas and suggestions from all members of the community.

What's Next for CPAL

We are currently working on an exciting new mural in the downtown area. We will release more information as things progress. We are always open to new projects and ideas and we look forward to the community's involvement with future projects.

Call for Business Owners

We are looking for walls. Any property owner who is interested in a mural installation on their building is encouraged to apply with us. More information and the application are available on the application page of this website.
