Chetek and surrounding communities, Jun 12, 2026-Aug 14, 2026, The Chetek Public Arts League (CPAL) hosted its second annual art
competition. Local businesses partnered with artists to host art pieces within their establishment and we invited the public to vote on their
favorites.
The Beauty Beyond Our Shores Art Competition is more than just a contest! It’s a celebration of art, community, and connection.
We hoped to
create a buzz and bring art lovers to the Chetek Lakes Area and boy did we! We had almost 600 votes and every artist received at least 50 – what great exposure!!
AND THE WINNERS ARE...
First Prize
Congratulations to Khloe Thoreson for winning first with her painting Stevie Nicks. Khloe was hosted at Wolf's Den Tavern & Resort.
Second Prize
Congratulations to Alex Owens for winning second with her painting The Arc. Alex was hosted at Edgewood Bakeshop.
Third Prize
Congratulations to Ben Howen III for winning third with his painting Pecho de Fuego. Ben was hosted at Ohdes Hometown Pharmacy.
